| Description: | Canadian Electric Vehicles was established in 1996. During the initial years the focus of Canadian Electric Vehicles was to provide the designs, parts and technical support for converting conventional internal combustion vehicles to non-polluting battery powered vehicles. Canadian Electric Vehicles has converted over 50 Isuzu three ton diesel trucks to electric power for the airline industry. The electric trucks are in use as refueling vehicles in airports around the world. At the Canadian Electric Vehicles manufacturing plant the primary focus is the Might-E Truck, a Neighborhood Electric Vehicle (NEV). A little bit about the Might-E Truck... The Might-E Truck with an on-board battery charger and solid state speed controller, powered by a 72V, 225 Ah battery pack and 16-hp SEPEX (Separately Excited) motor has a field adjustable top speed of up to 25 mph. The SEPEX direct drive system utilizes regenerative braking technology and gives Might-E Truck superior durability, performance and range of up to 55 miles on a single charge. The Might-E Truck is the new generation Electric Vehicle that satisfies requirements and regulations for LSV or NEV. Automotive grade standard features coupled with a heavy duty frame and leaf spring shock absorbers make the Might-E Truck a powerful working vehicle. With multiple bed alternatives and custom designs the Might-E Truck supports a multitude of utility vehicle applications. Available options: 35 Hp AC dive, disc brakes, 1500lb capacity hydraulic dump system, turf tires, suspension seating, custom paint, single point battery watering system, battery heating, side mounted tool boxes, 2” hitch receiver, right hand drive, back-up beeper and more... |
